"We are happy to form this new partnership with the Canadian Youth Business Foundation. Young entrepreneurs make up a large percentage of today's self-employed market. It is our endeavour to continue to support youth entrepreneurship in the City of Mississauga with practical information and tools to help their businesses succeed," says Heidi Brown, MBEC manager.
For five years, MBEC has assisted more than 100,000 businesses with expert advice, business information, professional consultations services and networking opportunities. MBEC encourages young people under 34 to consider self-employment as a viable career option.
"We are proud to officially launch our partnership with MBEC in Mississauga," comments Vivian Woytiuk, CYBF CEO. "We have helped launch over 1000 businesses across Canada since 1996 and will continue to provide access to business start-up loans, mentorship and learning resources to empower aspiring young Canadians entrepreneurs."
CYBF offers young entrepreneurs start-up financing up to $15,000 with the support of a business mentor. The business mentor increases the likelihood of the entrepreneur's success through the transfer of experienced business knowledge. Training and support are provided for the mentoring relationship as well as the young entrepreneur's business.
