Kitchener ON - September 9, 2004

The Canadian Youth Business Foundation (CYBF) and Lutherwood have established a partnership agreement to offer mentorship, learning resources and business start-up loans to aspiring young entrepreneurs aged 18-34 in Kitchener-Waterloo and surrounding areas. Lutherwood will be joining the 34 existing CYBF sites across Canada serving 362 local communities.

An official launch to mark this occasion will take place today, Thursday September 9th from 2:00pm to 3:30pm, at the Victoria Park Pavilion located at 80 Schneider Street in Kitchener. Local VIP's from the community, including MP's and MPP's, will attend the launch.

CYBF will present a $10,000 check to the first Lutherwood loan recipient, Alnoor Keshvani, at the official launch. A Kitchener native, Keshvani is the owner of Loop Clothing - a retail design lounge that offers a number of unique experiences; incorporating a lounge, retail clothing store and gallery. Loop Clothing carries independent Canadian and International fashion tags that fit every lifestyle. They also offer an in-house design studio where "one of a kinds" are designed from reconstructed apparel.

"Lutherwood is delighted to have the opportunity to work with the Canadian Youth Business Foundation to support Youth entrepreneurship in this area, comments Lutherwood CEO, John Colangeli, access to financial resources and to the expertise of mentors provides a strong foundation for success in business. The CYBF programs support Lutherwood's strong commitment to the youth of our community."

Lutherwood, a charitable human services organization providing a range of children's mental health services, employment and self-employment services, and retirement services to seniors, helps over 10,000 people each year to "Build Better Futures".

"We are proud to officially launch our partnership with Lutherwood in Kitchener," comments Vivian Woytiuk, CYBF CEO. "We have helped launch over 1000 businesses across Canada since 1996 and will continue to provide access to business start-up loans, mentorship and learning resources to empower aspiring young Canadians entrepreneurs."

CYBF offers young entrepreneurs start-up financing up to $15,000 with the support of a business mentor.
